Suspension was an ANC turning point

-

THE ANC’s new step-aside rule is causing some waves in its membership.

Ace Magashule, the suspended secretary-general, is also causing all kinds of machinations.

Magashule’s reputation has far exceeded him. The once mighty premier of the Free State allegedly doled out largesse to all his family and friends when he ran the province.

Now that he is facing corruption charges, he is lashing out at all and sundry.

Magashule is also believed to have been the frontman for the Guptas … after all the Guptas found a loyal friend in him. The Free State was the Guptas’ launching pad for greater things to come.

Magashule should see his day in court as it will allow him to answer to the fraud charges.

His suspension by the ANC marks a turning point in the body politic of the organisation. PAKS PAKIRIY | Durban North
