Celebrating 20 years of growth and success in the steel industry

-

COUSINS Steel International (CSI) – a leading name in the steel industry – marks 20 years in business this year. Specialising in the design, supply and erection of high quality steel structures, the company has much to celebrate as it continues to grow from strength to strength.

Started by Mike Oldfield, a professional engineer who has been an active member of the Engineering Council of South Africa since 1977, CSI has grown from a small export-based family business into one of South Africa’s leading firms in the industrial and commercial sector.

Now managed by Adam Oldfield (structural engineer) and Simone Verster (Chartered Accountant), CSI is moving ahead into the next decade with enthusiasm and a dedicated focus on continuing improvement and excellence.

The company works predominantly in the industrial and commercial sector, however its scope of works ranges across all steel applications. Structural steel applications range from wide-span super structures, cold storage facilities, bulk storage facilities, machine towers, aircraft hangers, mezzanine structures, shopping centres and refinery steelwork to residential homes.

CSI also boasts in-house sheeting crews, allowing the project management team to be efficient and reliable – another new addition to the growing enterprise and offering. Managed daily by two engineers and a chartered accountant, the family’s work ethic and commitment together with that of the experienced and hardworking staff complement has proven time and time again that hard work truly does pay off.
