Durban Eye project - what’s not to love?

I THINK it’s a wonderful idea. The Durban Eye project (The Mercury, May 9).

At a cost of R450 million. What an attraction it will be.

What an amazing view for those who can afford the ticket. (You surely won’t see squatter camps and litter from up there, will you?) Visitors would be encouraged to approach from the north, along the beach road.

Avoiding the drive through utter

squalor, broken down, derelict buildings and unbelievable litter at every turn, when approaching from the city. And beggars. Everywhere.

Who would probably give their eye teeth to just be given the cost of a single ticket?

P. S. I presume one will be able to see the Millennium Stadium from the Eye Project? Just saying.
