Durban Eye could fail like Sky Car

ETHEKWINI Municipality glibly tells us that the R450 million Durban Eye Project will generate rentals over the next 30 years after which the council will inherit the asset and all building improvements.

Given the fact that the muchvaunted Moses Mabhida Sky Car has failed within 10 years of its installation does not bode well for the prospects of the Durban Eye vanity project and makes one question the thinking of the council – as we have seen with the white elephant GO!Durban project. TONY BALL |
