SEV­EN­TEEN mu­si­cians from St Anne’s Dioce­san Col­lege were hon­oured by the SA So­ci­ety of Mu­sic Teach­ers which in­vited them to its prize-giv­ing cer­e­mony for at­tain­ing distinctions in their In­ter­na­tional As­so­ci­ated Board of the Royal Schools of Mu­sic, Trin­ity Col­lege of Lon­don and In­ter­na­tional Rockschool Prac­ti­cal Ex­am­i­na­tions. In ad­di­tion, seven girls were awarded gold medals for hav­ing ob­tained the high­est mark in their cat­e­gory for the Pi­eter­mar­itzburg dis­trict (Pi­eter­mar­itzburg, New Hanover, Wart­burg and Bergville). The prize-giv­ing, or­gan­ised by the so­ci­ety, took place in The Wyke­ham Col­le­giate chapel in Pi­eter­mar­itzburg.
