■ ELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: This year’s pantomime is a new production of everybody’s favourite fairy tale about the kitchen maid who wins the hand of a handsome prince. Cinderella comes to the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on the UKZN campus from today until January 6. It is directed by Steven Stead, designed by Greg King with choreograp­hy by Janine Bennewith, and stars Darren King and Bryan Hiles as the Ugly Sisters, Mthokozisi Zulu as Buttons, Nathan Kruger as the Prince, Lyle Buxton as Dandini and Angela Valverde as the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella will be played by newcomer Roshanda Lewis. Booking is through Computicke­t outlets.

■ PLAYHOUSE: Woza Albert! explores how Christ’s Second Coming would affect the lives of poor black people, and how the white apartheid authoritie­s would react. The play concludes with a call for Christ to raise the dead heroes and leaders who opposed apartheid. Woza Albert! previews in The Loft theatre tonight. Tickets are R80. The Drama Theatre for a final run between December 27 and 30. The play has an age restrictio­n of 13, and a duration of 90 minutes.
