THE Notice Board is intended to help people advertise events and avoid clashes. The date, event and venue may appear free of charge for three months, but these details must reach The Rep by noon on Mondays, to appear in that Friday’s edition.

Friday to Monday August 14-17: GHS 140th birthday celebratio­ns.

Friday August 14: Old Queenstoni­a Associatio­n dinner, Queens Hotel.

Saturday, August 15: GHS Old Girls breakfast, School House, 8.30am; Get-together, Erica Danckwerts Hall, 6pm.

Sunday August 16: GHS 140th birthday service, St George’s Hall, 9.30am.

Monday August 17: The Rep’s blanket drive ends.

Monday-Friday August 17-21: Queenstown eisteddfod, Queen’s Hall, Queen’s College.

Friday August 28: Khan (of the Parlotones), Queens Hotel.

Saturday August 29: Twizza Longhill Challenge, Sunnyside.

Monday August 31: Matric trial exams begin.

Thursday September 24: Public holiday – Heritage Day.
