Ekasi brings Emo Adams to town

Performer heads for Queenstown

-

FIVE years after it was founded, Ekasi Events continues to go from strength to strength.

A lack of entertainment and drug abuse in the Victoria Park, Aloevale and New Rest areas originally gave Meredith and Roche Sampson the idea of organising a sports day.

It was so well supported by the community that it led to further events being organised on a monthly basis, with the money being used to help schools in the area.

Ekasi Events spe- cialise in sound rentals and events coordination with most of the funds being ploughed back into the community.

“We do things better!” Meredith said this week as his message to the community.

The next big event heading Queenstown’s way is a performance by South African entertainer Emo Adams who will be in Queenstown, courtesy of Ekasi Events, at the Wesley Hall in Ebden Street on October 15.

Actor and singer Adams is particularly known for his collaborations with fellow South Africans David Kramer and the late Taliep Petersen.

He is also the presenter of the show “Jou Show met Emo” on kykNet.

The show will start at 7.30pm with tickets ranging from R120 to R150.

Further information is available from the Sampsons on 074-582-4207 or 072-510-3746.

Ekasi Events is based at 12 Protea Street in Victoria Park, Queenstown.
