Prizes for achievers
DORDRECHT - The prizegiving at Winterberg Agricultural High School in Fort Beaufort was on October 16 with Cameron Bradfield, son of Dean and Myrt, receiving 17 awards, including Leadership, Academic Colours and for being the Dux Scholar. At the Hangklip prize giving in Queenstown, Carli Breed and Gerdus van der Watt shared the History prize and the Pretorius award as Dux pupil.
Carli, daughter of Chris and Susan, also received the Women’s Action cup for diligence, the best Afrikaans essay in Grade 12, the Grobbelaar Cup for bilingualism, the subject prize for Afrikaans, the subject prize and cup for Business Studies, full colours for academics and merit prizes for English, Geography, life sciences and life orientation.
At Dordrecht High School, Siphosethu Zazela and Yamkela Ngicizela were elected headgirl and headboy.
