A MORNING market was held outside the Cottage Shop on Saturday morning, when residents were invited to bring any home-made goods or home-grown produce. These sales will be held on each first Saturday of the month from 10am.

STERKSTROOM – A group of local women, Megan Moorcroft, Amanda Oelofse and Adele Richardson attended the Bedford Garden Festival last week. They visited gardens on the Tarkastad side of Bedford.

It was interesting to see the variety of plants and beautiful features. The Marais garden at Skelmkloof was mainly succulents. This was largely due to their lack of water, but cleverly designed. The Pringles’ garden at Eildon was particularly breathtaking with hundreds of iceberg roses among shrubs and other foliage. pions on behalf of the Committee on Development Cooperation and City Diplomacy.
