– The community was saddened to hear of the passing of Sheila Grobbelaar, a long-serving former secretary of the farmers’ association, after a battle with cancer. Her husband, Danie, passed away in March. They farmed at Fac-et-Spera for many years before retiring. They played an integral part of the community while living in the area, including the Klaasmits Buying Group. Condolences to their family.

Sterkstroom school held their prize-giving, as well as the grade 9 farewell, on Thursday evening, at a beautiful venue in town. We wish the grade 9s all the best for the future, as they leave to continue the last phase of high school at other schools. Sterkstroom school only goes up to grade 9.
