Concerns over safety on bridge

- CONCERNED of Komani writes:

The South African Railway Services need to take responsibility for the bridge over the station in Komani.

There have been numerous incidents of robberies and attacks on the bridge and it is just not safe any more.

Children and adults both seem to be as vulnerable and the criminals seem to strike with impunity.

The SA Railway Services should assist the public by ensuring that security is provided on the bridge. A security guard at both the access and exit points would make the world of a difference. The police could also do some foot patrols at odd times.

I hope it does not take a tragedy for this matter to receive the attention it deserves. It has, after all, been many years during which complaints over the safety of the bridge have been raised as issues of great concern.
