– Round Ta­ble 103 re­cently hosted the sev­enth an­nual DPL six-a-side cricket day, in con­junc­tion with the potjiekos com­pe­ti­tion. This project was started in mem­ory of a Tabler, Dean Pe­dro, and is still a day when lo­cal peo­ple cel­e­brate his life.

Eight teams com­peted, with the New­den Dragons claim­ing the top spot, the Rance Tim­ber Lum­ber­jacks were run­ners-up, the Rob­caw Rebels in third place and there­after, in or­der, Bolo Barflies, Eck Baulers, Team Noddy, PnP and The Pole Slingers (Stutt Poles).

Round Ta­ble has thanked busi­nesses that were pre­pared to en­ter a team and helped to make the day pos­si­ble.

The potjiekos com­pe­ti­tion was also a great suc­cess, with awe­some prizes spon­sored by Lentz Prop­er­ties, Op­ti­mum Se­cu­rity and Tyn­dall Meats. In third place was Team Noddy and de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Rance Tim­ber Lum­ber­jacks had to give up the ti­tle and set­tle for se­cond place.

The Pole Slingers were crowned DPL Potjiekos Champs 2018, with a nearly per­fect score from the judges.

Other spon­sors in­cluded Clin­ton and Ty­rone Schwartz, Big Daddy’s Liquor, PnP, Rance Tim­ber, CJ Sc­holes & Son, Stut­ter­heim Coun­try Club and Elec­tri­cal Worx.
