Upgrade boost for school
Hexagon High School will be able to accommodate more pupils from next year, thanks to an investment by the Education Department and the Development Bank of South Africa.
Pre-fabricated classrooms have been erected at the school which has been identified as one of a limited number of “hot spot” schools – schools which are in demand – in the Komani district.
Principal Malcolm Lentoor said the pupil number was expected to increase from 518 to 660 with the classrooms handed over to the school last week.
Lentoor was thrilled by the development at a school which has gained recognition for its high academic standards in the past. – Rep reporter
