Networks can help fight crime

- Alfred Zanemvula Magatya

Among the many benefits of owning a cell phone is the advantage of reporting the commission of a crime.

This is as important as calling an ambulance for a very sick person.

For many months the villages surrounding Cacadu have been gripped by lack of connectivity to the MTN network. Many of us are tuned to this network, but lack of connection renders our phones useless. We cannot report muggings or robberies to the police.

Online banking has turned into a farce and we have to switch back to the old method of queuing at commercial banks, only to expose ourselves to criminals who pretend to be in line for service only to check how much we draw.

We need more network poles for our villages please, especially at secured school premises.
