FACE 2 FACE with

Music artist, state employee

- Luntu Tshefuta

Q What do you like about your occupation?

A

Working for the department of justice has taught me the importance of making a change in the country by making sure I put people’s needs first in whatever I do.

Q: What is the most important thing you have learnt in your career?

A: In my musical career I have learnt that people are healed when ever I stand and sing for them.

Those who are looking for answers, just by listening to my music are drawn closer to God and they get the answers they are looking for.

Q: Where did you grow up and what is your favourite childhood memory?

A: I grew up in Queenstown (Komani) and my favourite childhood memory was when my late father (Themba Tshefuta) wished that I would sing for the world one day and I think today, I am living my father’s dream.

Q: How do you relax?

A: LOL… music helps me relax. I’d wake up even at 4am just to listen to music all day. It helps me to be able to think things through.

Q: What is your favourite motto?

A: Love and forgiveness goes a long way.

One should always practice this to be able to live a happy life.

Q: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

A: A bull. It has leadership, it’s protective, tough and loving.

Q: What is your reaction to the recent repo rate hike implemented by the South African Reserve Bank?

A: In the current economic state our country is in, prices are increasing, but the sad part of it is that salaries are stagnant.

So it is very unfortunate because the rates keep on increasing, which results in people being unable to afford the lifestyle they want.
