Exhibitors will be showcasing their customised vehicles tomorrow at Victoria Manor at an event put together by Jamie Stellenberg, who is on a mission to raise funds to assist her brother who is in a rehab facility.

Stellenberg said a lot of her friends and family were struggling with drug addiction.

Her brother, 31, who had been using drugs for four years, finally sought help, she said.

He has been at the facility since May and Stellenberg is hosting the event to help her family with the costs, as well as other families who have members struggling with drug addiction.

“I am hosting this stance event to help my parents and other families with payments for the facility, toiletries, clothes and so on.

“Other families are also going to have stalls there to raise funds for their family members who are also in need of funds,” she said.

Entrants will be judged in categories such as best of show, best female, best static, best boot, best wheel, best air, sound, and rev off.

“Drugs have taken over our communities, our friends, our family members, and we need to take a stand, we need to show people that if we stand together not even our financial situation can stand in our way if we want to become better people,” said Stellenberg.

The event will have an entry fee and anyone who would like to take part or put up a stall can contact Stellenberg on 072-673-1851.
