- REP REPORTER

After a two-year break, this year’s Longhill Challenge promises to reward the abilities of local residents once again with something for everyone.

With only just a week to go, locals must ensure that their entries for the challenge next Saturday are submitted.

The day will starts off at 8.20am with a 10km ride for younger enthusiasts.

The 10km off-road run/walk follows at 8.30am, with the bigger events consisting of a 65km, 40km and 20km cycle set to begin at 9am, 9.10am and 9.20am respectively.

For those not active in sport but wanting to take a short stroll and support the reserve, there will be a fun walk starting at 10am. Entries for the three main cycle events close on September 18, with a late entry fee thereafter. Those who want to do the 10km cycle and run/walk can enter on the day until 7.30am and the fun walk participants can enter until 9.30am. Entry forms are available on the following link: https://bit.ly/3AAWODG or on Facebook: Twizza Longhill Challenge Queenstown.

The honorary rangers together with sponsors Twizza, Maxxis Tyres, Magers Pharmacy, Tony’s Gifts and SAB look forward to seeing everyone at the Sunny Side, Lawrence de Lange Nature Reserve on September 24. For more information contact Ryan Hoffmann on 083-698-9193 or email longhillmtb@gmail.com
