ActionSA leaders set to visit in recruitment drive
ActionSA provincial chair Athol Trollip is set to join the Chris Hani region leadership and members in a recruitment drive on Monday and Tuesday next week.
The drive is part of the efforts to get branch representation for ActionSA to 70% for all wards in the province by 2024.
“This year has been dubbed the year of the branch because you cannot contest elections effectively without branch structures. Chris Hani is also one of the poorest regions in the province and this is compounded by inept and ineffective governance,” Trollip said.
“We as ActionSA are determined to turn this state of affairs around by offering voters something different to the current political establishment.
“All political parties that serve in councils in this district, as well as the district council, must take responsibility for the current woeful status quo.
“ActionSA is a new political party made up of people from all political persuasions and who have had enough of the status quo. We want change and we believe we are the party best placed to bring about change as we have shown we can attract support from all voting communities in SA,” he added.
Regional co-ordinator Yolanda Gcanga said the members would visit various areas including Ezibeleni, iLinge, Mlungisi, Madeira and the surrounds.
