Another Anything that Floats race on at Bonkolo Dam this Saturday

- LEN’S NEWS

People are always complaining that there is nothing to do in Komani on the weekends. They also moan about the distances they have to travel to find some entertainment.

Tomorrow the Queenstown Power and Yacht Club are hosting another Anything that Floats race at the Bonkolo Dam. Eight teams from different businesses in town will be taking part, and it sounds like it will be great fun to be there to watch.

Why not pack a picnic bag, or have a treat and buy lunch there. Breakfast buns, hamburgers and boerie rolls will be on sale. The “boats” can be in the water from 8am and the main race will start at 12pm.

There will be food stalls and a cash bar open at the club house. The gates will be open from 8am till late.

Be sure to bring a beach umbrella or gazebo to protect you from the sun. Our local vintage cars will also be on show. The Motorcross Mx Wetherd series round 6 will also be happening on their track, racing from 10am.

From the previous year’s experiences of the Anything that Floats race, there was much fun and laughter had by all participants and spectators alike.
