Safa Regional League heats up
The second round of matches in the Safa Chris Hani Regional League saw very fierce action, with goals galore.
Young Minds bounced back from their narrow loss to Roman Callies last week with a thumping 5-1 victory over League newcomers Soul Buddies, at Ilinge on Sunday.
Roman Callies were held to a 1-1 draw by a fast-improving Saints FC, who may prove to be a tough nut to crack at their home patch at Machibini.
The rest of the Stream C2 results were: Valgas FC beat Ilinge Aces 2-1 at Ilinge, and Holy Kings and AFC Komani Stars played to a 1-1 draw at Ezibeleni.
In Stream C1, MK Academy led the way with a 6-0 walloping of newbies Apollo Chiefs at Sandringham Sports Fields, and Amathole beat 12 Aces 2-1 at Molteno.

Chiefs and Rocklands Swallows could not be finished, while the Juventus and Tarkastad Fast XI game did not take place.
This weekend’s fixtures in Stream C1 and C2 are:
On Saturday, Roman Callies will take on Ilinge Aces at 1pm, and Soul Buddies will face Saints FC at 3pm, with both games at the Ezibeleni Stadium.
On Sunday, it will be AFC Komani Stars vs Young Minds at 1pm and Valgas FC vs Holy Kings at 3pm, with both games at Dumpy Adams. In Stream C1, on Saturday, Rocklands Swallows face Juventus at 1pm at Rocklands, and Golden Chiefs face 12 Aces at 1pm at Tendergate Fields.
On Sunday, unbeaten MK Academy play Amathole FC at the Dongwe fields at 1pm, and Tarkastad Fast XI hosts winless Apolo Chiefs at Tarkastad Zola Grounds.
There will only be one round of matches next week before the festive break kicks in.
