TINA Turner, played by Caro­line Bo­role, will be vis­it­ing the Rood­e­poort The­atre un­til De­cem­ber 16. This sen­sa­tional show, high­light­ing the un­for­get­table hits from the icon her­self, will be on for a lim­ited sea­son.

Bo­role will per­form Turner hits from the 1960s to 1990s com­plete with a band, brass sec­tion, back­ing vo­cal­ists and dancers to make this the de­fin­i­tive tribute and a fab­u­lous fun night out for the fam­ily.

Bo­role was hand-picked by Show­time Aus­tralia di­rec­tor Johnny Van Grinsven for the pow­er­ful lead role in the pro­duc­tion.

Mu­sic has been a ma­jor in­flu­ence in Bo­role’s life. The South African-born songstress cred­its her fam­ily for sat­u­rat­ing her child­hood with var­i­ous gen­res and artists, many of which helped shape her own mu­si­cal style.

At the age of 10, Bo­role’s fa­ther in­tro­duced her to

a record that sparked her in­ter­est in the jazz and blues gen­res. Bo­role soon be­gan to idolise Turner, tak­ing note of the star’s out­ra­geous con­fi­dence and high en­ergy.

Through­out Bo­role’s school­ing she took ev­ery op­por­tu­nity to per­form and steadily de­vel­oped a love for the spot­light.

After three years at univer­sity, Bo­role ven­tured into the en­ter­tain­ment in­dus­try, land­ing no­table roles on TV shows and mu­si­cal pro­duc­tions, in­clud­ing ap­pear­ances in

and a star­ring role as Effie White in the South African na­tional pro­duc­tion of the mu­si­cal

Even­tu­ally, Bo­role found her­self be­com­ing a mem­ber of Show­time Aus­tralia. She be­gan by tour­ing as a backup singer for two of the com­pany’s largest pro­duc­tions, and Dis­cov­er­ing Show­time Aus­tralia was launch­ing

Bo­role knew it was her chance to snatch the lime­light.

The must-see per­for­mance will be staged at the Rood­e­poort The­atre, 100 Chris­ti­aan de Wet Road, Flor­ida Park.
