The Star Late Edition

Frankly, buyer of movie script a big spender

-

ONE OF the copies of the Gone with the Wind screenplay used during the filming of the 1939 movie classic fetched $26 250 (about R368 000) at a Julien’s auction.

The historical movie, starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable, was based on the book by Margaret Mitchell and is still widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made.

It as a running time of 220 minutes, which means that screenplay on offer must have been quite bulky. – Auctions Writer
