Lingerie range bottom line set straight

BONANG Matheba, known as Queen B, pictured left, has done a U-turn after announcing her lingerie line Distraction would be going international.

Last week, Matheba tweeted: “Proud to announce… My lingerie collection, Bonang For Distraction, a collab with Woolworths, will launch at David Jones Department Store in AUSTRALIA in October 2015!!!! Woooohooooooo!!!”

However, the excitement was short-lived. Yesterday, Woolworths said: “There has been some confusion stemming from an incorrect announcement made on Bonang Matheba’s social media platforms. Ms Matheba is the South African brand ambassador of Woolworths’ lingerie line, Distraction. There are no plans to extend Bonang’s capsule collection for Distraction beyond Southern African borders.”

However, it confirmed Distraction had been available in David Jones stores in Australia since August. –
