Big SA Bake Off flops due to technical problems

THE GREAT South African Bake Off has failed to rise to the occasion.

Viewers were left disappointed on Tuesday night when the much-anticipated programme was a no-show on BBC Lifestyle (DStv 174).

The slot was instead filled with a Great British Bake Off Masterclass episode. BBC South Africa was left with egg on their face when a technical glitch spoilt their highly publicised premiere.

The channel took to Twitter to inform viewers of the error and to apologise: “Due to a technical issue, we’re not able to bring the premiere of #SABakeOff. Apologies. Updates to follow.” Episodes 1 and 2 will air on Tuesday. – Staff Reporter
