Gauteng awards countdown

PREPARATIONS for the fifth edition of the 2015 annual Gauteng Sports Awards are well under way for what promises to be a spectacular show at Silver Star Casino in Mogale City, on Sunday. The Gauteng Provincial Government will roll out the red carpet and bring sports and entertainment stars together to honour the stellar achievements made in sports during the past year. “The Gauteng Sport Awards are an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our stars. As the ‘Home of Champions’, Gauteng is best placed for sports stars to shine brightly and realise their full potential and go on to showcase their talents beyond the province’s borders.” said MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation in Gauteng, Molebatsi Bopape. The public can still vote for: Sport Fan of the Year; Sport Programme of the Year and Sport Personality of the Year. The three are voted for by the public while 13 other categories will be chosen by a panel. The ceremony will be broadcast live on SuperSport 4 HD/Channel 204 at 7pm on Sunday.
