Eskom lauds matrics of 2015

-

ELECTRICITY parastatal Eskom yesterday congratulated all 2015 matriculants and reminded them that Eskom further education and training bursaries were still available for 2016. In particular, Eskom congratulated St John’s College in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape on its “outstanding” results. “St John’s is a beneficiary of Eskom through the telematics initiative and achieved more than a 90 percent pass rate in 2015,” Eskom said. The telematics system uses modern technology to broadcast lessons by teaching experts live from the University of Stellenbosch into classrooms in remote and rural areas, allowing pupils to have direct access to renowned educators and the extra curriculum support often needed.
