Hurt mountain climber airlifted

A 46-YEAR-OLD woman was airlifted off Lions Head mountain in Cape Town on Saturday. “ER24 were called to the parking lot near Lions Head to meet the patient,” ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.“It is understood that she sustained moderate injuries while climbing in the mountains. An AMS helicopter was called in to airlift the patient to the awaiting ER24 ambulance .” Paramedics treated her and transporte­d her to hospital. Local authoritie­s are investigat­ing, Meiring said. – ANA
