32 militants killed

SECURITY forces killed 32 Kurdish militants in Turkey’s south-east at the weekend, security sources said yesterday, escalating a conflict reignited by the collapse of a ceasefire. It was one of the bloodiest weekends since the 30-year-old insurgency resumed, scuppering a peace deal by Ankara with the leader of the militant Kurdistan Workers Party.
