Move to stem migrants

TURKEY plans to offer Syrian refugees work permits to encourage fewer of them to migrate, Turkey’s European Affairs Minister Volkan Bozkir said yesterday, amid EU pressure to reduce the flow of migrants. Bozkir met European Commission vicepresident Frans Timmermans, who said the EU was dissatisfied with Turkey’s efforts to stop migrants.
