Sony mobile, ‘a practical device’, captures moments around the city

SONY Mobile “Xperential Destination” Tour took place through the city of Johannesburg and participants were given a unique and refreshing taste of the city while capturing the moments using the new Sony mobile XA1 range.

They could see Joburgers, the traffic jam, your regular Joe sipping coffee at the antiques restaurants in Maboneng, and expressions of art in the form of graffiti, which were used as subjects for this “Xperential Destination” tour.

The walking tour was led by Jo Buitendach, founder of Past Experiences Walking Tours company, who said she was very passionate about graffiti and local artists.

“I have spent a lot of time in the city and I genuinely believe in graffiti as an art. I believe a walking tour would be more effective because you see the good and the bad, as well as real stories,” she said.

Sony mobile South Africa country manager Christian Haghofer said the tour was the perfect opportunity to explore the city and capture the bright colours and great vibe of the city.

Tuelo Nguyza, Sony ambassador fashion influencer, said the Sony Xperia was practical for his everyday life and line of work. “I can use the slow-mo- tion feature to document my work, such as the stitching, cutting and the moving needle. I have also used it to cover various events and it’s more practical, rather than buying a R30 000 camera that costs way more and does the exact same thing,” he said.

Nguyza also said he would definitely encourage people to buy the mobile device because it is a leading brand and it always comes up with innovative, mind-blowing, high-quality concepts.

“I would definitely encourage people to buy the device because it is more than just a mobile phone but also a journey, especially when it comes to memories.”
