Molesting: arrest made

ROME: Police in the southern Italian region of Sicily have placed a gynaecologist under house arrest on charges of molesting a patient.

A 28-year-old woman told investigators that she had been twice molested by the 65-year-old doctor, first in his private study 11 months ago, then in a public hospital, it was reported yesterday.

The woman was told to go to the hospital for an ultrasound. There, she said she had again been assaulted by the doctor, but she filmed everything on her cellphone and told the police. – dpa
