Commission amendment

AN ARTICLE published by Business Report last week about Godrich Flour Mills being fined R4.4 million for price fixing in terms of a settlement agreement reached with the Competition Commission incorrectly stated that the case against Pioneer Foods was continuing.

This was based on information provided by the Competition Tribunal, which has subsequently amended it and confirmed there is not any ongoing case against Pioneer Foods related to the maize and wheat milling complaints. Pioneer Foods concluded a settlement agreement with the commission.
