THE RICH Gang is hosting an all-black red carpet affair next month, and you will need R50 000 to get in.

According to a poster posted on Facebook by Don King Lawrence, the man who has had social media buzzing after sharing pictures and videos of stacks of money, the event will take place on December 19.

It will be held at Guvnor, a premier nightclub in Kampala, Uganda, Lawrence’s hometown.

Lawrence, real name Lawrence Kiyingi, reveals in the poster that if you are loaded, you can make a special reservation for R500 000 to R2 million.

There will be an open bar, according to the poster.

Lawrence was reportedly the right-hand man and cousin to late Rich Gang boss Ivan Semwanga, who died in May. Pictures from Semwanga’s funeral showed money thrown in the grave.

“In memory of our Don (Semwanga). We live for something or die for nuthin,” reads the poster.

Lawrence did not respond to requests for comment sent through his numerous Facebook pages.

At the weekend, a video showing Muvhango actor Phindile Gwala with a plate filled with a stack of money went viral. The “cash-eating” Gwala and Isibaya actress Jessica Nkosi are seen sharing a table with Lawrence, who is taking the video.

Nkosi is seen taking pictures of Gwala as she “puts salt” on the money in her plate.

In the background, there is a bartender

holding a bottle of champagne.

Last year, a video showing Lawrence and two other men in a hotel room with a suitcase full of money was circulated. In the case, there was also a bag bearing a Fidelity Security Group logo.

In some of his Facebook pages, he says he is chief executive of Kingsbridge Colleges. The colleges’ Mahikeng landline was offline. There is no website.

Lawrence’s page is inundated with posts about flashy cars, expensive alcohol and clothes. In some videos, he is seen dishing out money to partygoers.
