Nyovest’s novel intern search hots up
WITH just more than a week left before Cassper Nyovest makes history, he wants young and ambitious people to also experience #FillUpFNBStadium.
The multi-award-winning South African singer and entrepreneur made a “once-in-a-lifetime” intern search call last week, inviting young people to gain experience in the events world.
Successful applicants are expected to be notified by tomorrow if they have been chosen.
The launch of the #FillUpFNBInternSearch took place at the Newtown Music Factory, which saw over 1 000 applicants interviewed, from as far as KwaZulu-Natal.
Nyovest said: “I believe it’s important to always give back and give young black kids opportunities. The Fill Up FNB Intern Search is my way of inviting the youth of the country to make history with me.
“We’re throwing it your way. Don’t sleep! #FillUpFNBInternSearch.”
The chosen intern will have the opportunity to understand the ins and outs of the talent, merchandise, hospitality and marketing at the event.
Nomsa Mlenga, head of hospitality, accreditation and human resources for Fill Up FNB Stadium, said: “The response to the #FillUpFNBInternSearch has been overwhelming. We had applicants come from as early as 6am on Saturday to make sure they did not miss out.
“We are impressed with the calibre of applicants who came through and even have a few candidates we are looking to take on permanently.
“We look forward to working with some of the brightest and most determined youth the country has,” said Mlenga.
“Applicants were asked why they wanted to intern, and the majority indicated that they wanted to be a part of history,” said Mlenga.
Only 100 interns will be informed that they will join Nyovest on his historic journey to Fill Up FNB Stadium.
Keep an eye out for the Gusheshe hitmaker on social media to follow his historic road to Fill Up FNB Stadium, and look out for info tomorrow to see who made the cut on the #FillUpFNBInternSearch.
