START TREATING ACNE WHILE YOUNG
MOST teenagers suffer from acne when they reach puberty. It is recommended that you treat it while you are young so you don’t have to worry about it during adulthood.
We answer some of your acne-related questions.
It is important to note that acne is caused not only by puberty, but other manageable factors such as:
Not cleaning your make-up brushes. Sleeping with make-up on. Not changing your pillowcase and face towel often. Putting fingers on your face. Being a sun worshipper. Using too many medications and over-cleansing.
Only treating your skin from the outside.
You can’t treat acne overnight.
Its treatments can make your skin dry, but using a good moisturiser every day can help your skin feel much better.
Here’s what you can use to treat acne. Oatmeal mask: This is good for dry as well as acne-prone skin. The starch in the oatmeal absorbs excess oil while soothing sensitive skin. Aloe vera: This helps fight acne by soothing it. Honey: Masking your face with honey helps fight infections caused by acne. Moisturiser: This is tricky, but choose a moisturiser that is oil-free and non-comedogenic (does not have a tendency to block skin pores). – Source: Kyle Andrew, acne expert
