High-five with Cele
Police Minister Bheki Cele engaged the community and listened to their concerns about the high crime rate, while he was on a walkabout in the Mau-Mau settlement in Nyanga, near Cape Town, yesterday. He acknowledged that Nyanga police station had only 90 police officers compared to the 220 that the station was supposed to have. He also acknowledged that some police officers were corrupt and working with criminals, but “it is only a few of them”, he said.
