Eating when stressed can increase weight

EATING high fat food when you’re stressed can lead to more weight gain than eating when relaxed, research suggests.

A study on mice found they became obese more quickly when under stress, says the journal Cell Metabolism. It is thought a compound, called NPY (neuropepti­de Y), which regulates response to stress and food, becomes over-activated. |
