ANC not interested in a non-racial society

- TERENCE GRANT |

I REFER to Jessie Duarte’s recent comments.

I do not believe the ANC wants a non-racial society. I believe it wants a society in which Blacks are the dominant group and have control of all levers of control in civil society including the judiciary, the economy and the battle of ideas.

In addition, I do not believe the ANC is particularly concerned about corruption.

I believe it views corruption as an effective means of taking money away from Whites and giving it to Blacks, who – according to its naive viewpoint – are likely to establish businesses that give “their people” a better deal than “their people” are currently receiving from white employers.

Consequently, I view the prosecution of a few corrupt officials as infighting between groups that want to prevent members of other groups from snatching “the spoils of victory” away from them and members of their group.

In short, I have an extremely low opinion of the ANC and also do not feel morally obliged to throw my weight behind a system that views me as the enemy and allows the unsavoury Julius Malema to talk about relieving me of my possessions and driving me into the sea .

The ANC needs to get its act in order or the excrement could indeed hit the fan in the not too distant future.
