BLF went from contenders to nobody’s BFF

- TOM MHLANGA |

ANDILE Mngxitama thought he would be more relevant to politics if he started his own party, the Black First Land First (BLF).

This is the most reactionary politician to have emerged since our democratic breakthrough.

The party is led by people who don’t have respect for the Constitution and who fail to embrace the principle of unity in diversity.

Mngxitama was known to hate former president Jacob Zuma but now he sings Zuma’s praises. What has changed? Zuma clearly did not. Why the sudden love?

Mngxitama seems to be drinking from the same cup as Zuma. His sudden love for Zuma is beyond reality, so one is tempted to conclude that they are being funded by the same handler and being given directives to work together.

The Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa saved us from the BLF and its leaders by deregistering the party before the elections.

The BLF’s programme has been to drive white people away. Its members have publicly shown that they hate white people. Unfortunately, they have not been called to order enough for them to realise that what they are doing is against the spirit of the rainbow nation.

They don’t even embrace the Constitution and therefore don’t deserve to contest for political office in our country.
