2 THINGS TO WATCH ON TV TONIGHT

Each episode of the reality talent show pits three home cooks (some as young as 17) against one another as they whip up their signature dishes in Chef Dede Wyt’s kitchen. Dede will judge each plate on five criteria: budget, preparation time, presentation, taste and backstory. The recipe from the winning plate will be published in Drum magazine.

The show features brave individuals who are stepping forward to tell host Dineo Ranaka about some shattering truths that have forced them to live double lives. Guests include someone who supported their family with money earned by being a sex worker, another who has landed their family in debt, a pregnant teen with one month to go before she gives birth, a hoarder, and someone who can’t stop lying.
