The young producer is influenced by international artists like his role model, DJ Khaled. He hopes to one day collaborate with the DJ and other international acts, including Drake, Joyner Lucas, Logic, Big Sean, Chris Brown, SZA, Jay-Z and J Cole.

Locally, Radebe would love to work with Zoocci Coke Dope, Nasty C, Stogie T, Blxckie, Miss Pru, Blaq Diamond and AKA.

He is currently working on a debut album titled The Arrival and will be hosting a listening session for it soon. Radebe filled us in on his tech knowledge.

Are you familiar with 5G? How do you think it can help society?

I think 5G offers new opportunities to connect to society and I think it provides the best significant benefits to the citizens. Upgrading to 5G is good because it is super fast and ultra reliable.

With social gatherings being restricted, how are you using technology to reach your audience?

I reach my fans through social media – Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. It’s the best way to communicate with my fans because these platforms are really helpful.

Before you buy a gadget, what are some of the key things you look out for?

Authenticity. Especially with smartphones, laptops and cameras. Be careful not to buy gadgets from unreliable sources.

How do you use technology to enhance your music?

I distribute my music on streaming platforms and send my tracks to radio stations for promotion. Technology has helped us get closer to what we want with all these different platforms.

If you could come up with an app for Africans, what would it be called and what would it do?

The Blow Up app. It would help upcoming artists like me to blow up easily because the industry is tough to get into, especially in South Africa.
