Former president Jacob Zuma’s medical parole was under scrutiny in the Pietermaritzburg High Court yesterday. This is how Twitter reacted

The man is 80 years old. Can’t we just let him go home and rest? He’s been through a lot. @Happy68178013

Government must stop wasting resources and leave this old man. He is not dangerous to the community. Let this old man go.

@JusticeForumSA1

Even if he is dead his haters won’t believe it. They will say he is playing tricks running away from being imprisoned. They will demand to see his body even if they are given the body they will demand doing DNA. That’s how people who hate Zuma feels about him.

@tsh360

So the Military doctors and other state doctors are inadequate, compared to the NPA doctors. If so those doctors should work at all public institutions and not at the NPA’s office only, or is it the Cuban team? @uSxova_Lo

If NPA docs find Zuma fit, that means the SANDF doctors and Zuma’s docs lied. So why aren’t they being charged by the same NPA for falsifying medical documents?

@Vincent_Kolobe

We all knew that he was fit as a bull to stand trial all along. This mysterious traumatic injury he suffered months ago and only realised now is just a gimmick.

@DaveBam2

Billions have been spent on unnecessary court disputes and commissions. It could have been better utilized. Poor people suffer, lawyers get rich. @m_mmotlana

This case will drag for years to come cause the defendant always comes with delaying tactics. Zondo commission saw it coming that’s why they went directly to Apex court now the matter was resolved within months.

@Debs26067258

Hey there are worst presidents in this Earth. What happened to SA while he was in power was not good...but we are learning to understand one another. @forever_sesh

If the defendant is using medical health as a defence for any reason, then the court/prosecution has the right to ask for that information. This applies to everyone!
