- ANITA NKONKI

AS A WAY of marking 20 years in the South African entertainment industry as a king in television talk shows and an actor, Aaron Moloisi has decided to expand his empire. The media personality is counting the days to the launch of his international digital radio station, Legend Radio which is set to go live on January 15 broadcasting in 12 countries around the globe.

The statement released on social media unpacked that the station will engage in everyday conversations that will empower and equip the streamers with all the tools they need to make legendary moves. The station is not a categorised content genre; they engage in a wider array of subject matters in all aspects.

Founder of the station Moloisi revealed that the majority of the hosts have never worked on the radio or any broadcast platform.

“I carefully and strategically head hunted all of them across the world to bring sincerity and authenticity to the station,” he said.

The media personality added that they have a few wild card hosts who will be bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the station. Some South African public figures will also form part of the upcoming radio station. Their dynamic line-up will be loaded with candidates from China, the US, Zambia, Mozambique, Canada and Nigeria who will be revealed after the launch of the station.

In efforts to garner a wider global audience, the Legend Radio app will come in eight languages such as English, IsiZulu, German, IsiXhosa, Afrikaans, Swahili, Portuguese and French.

Many may know Moloisi from popular television shows such as Shift on SABC 1, Special Assignment on SABC 3 and have also taken note of his remarkable acting skills on Skeem Sam on SABC 1 and on the famous telenovela Mzansi Magic’s The Queen and many more.
