WHO can define a dashing fashion style aesthetic better than the Public Protector Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane, who has effortlessly demonstrated that fashion knows no boundaries?

Though the art of fashion is a complex language that many are still trying to discern in South Africa, there are still people who pull all the stops and do justice to the assignment.

Mkhwebane introduces herself as someone who knows how crucial it is to not only be present, but to also deliver the looks.

For many, the art of fashion is to just show up on an occasion, whereas for others it is to make a statement.

On several occasions she has been spotted dazzling with her elegant looks while also exuding class in her outfits, leaving one with no choice but to admire her sense of style.

She has also been consistent in dropping timeless styles and that can be seen on her Instagram account.

We spoke to a popular designer, Inga Sebata, the founder of the clothing line Stitched by Inga, to gain insight into the importance of fashion and how Mkhwebane has been rocking her fits.

“Busisiwe’s style is both regal, timeless and very classy. Me, when I looked at her, she says, ‘Dressing modestly doesn’t mean I should lack style. I can be modest and still look like a million bucks.’ I love that.”

Sebata also highlights the importance of trying something new for those who are afraid of stepping forward. “Be bold and brave. Get out of your comfort zone, a lot of what you’re scared to try, in terms of style and fashion, will probably make you feel like the woman you know and believe yourself to be. Always be curious and willing to try something new, something different.”
