The art of managing money is still a complex subject for many people as they are still trying to understand the whole concept of it.

Speaking with Radio702’s Bruce Whitfield, Thabethe spoke about essential things that one needs to consider to ace the art of handling money.

“As you grow in this industry, you pick and choose. For those who can pick and choose, you are very fortunate because for most people you take whatever comes your way. But I am sort of picking and choosing now and seeing what is truthful to me and what aligns with me.”

Asked if she is does put money away for rainy days, she commented that it is her obsession. She further detailed that her BCom accounting degree came in handy in making financial decisions.

“I studied a BCom accounting so I am sort of programmed to see numbers, then my heart smiles. So I 100% put money away as much as I can.”

Thabethe also spoke about the ways that she secures her money.

Unlike other popular people who have people hired to manage their finances, she admitted she finds it hard to involve others.

She added that she has always held the idea that everything that she does was her little baby to take care of and moreover to have control over everything.

“I think for me whatever I do is like my little babies. I am slowly learning that the only way to succeed in many things is to involve others.”
