TARRYN Reid and Clairise Hefke, who make up the dynamic global sensation DJ duo TxC, will be jetting off to Qatar for two career-defining performances that will take place during Fifa World Cup festivities in Doha and Dubai.

The popular beer brand Budweiser has given the music stars an opportunity to shine on a global stage by bringing the “Amapiano Experience” to the BUD World Club in Doha.

TxC will be part of a star-studded line-up that includes US rapper Lil Baby, Côte d’Ivoire’s Suspect 95 and Zambian hip hop artist Slapdee on December 3.

The amapiano duo will then headline a sunset performance at the Budx Fifa Fan Fest, at picturesque Dubai Harbour on December 4.

The duo said: “We’ve worked so hard for this moment, and we hope that our fans are similarly inspired to take their own journey towards seizing greatness and pursuing their dreams. This is such an exciting time for us, and we’re going to make South Africa proud.”

After their debut last year, TxC swiftly cemented a reputation for dropping much-loved amapiano sets

Their recent epic performances include Manchester’s largest Afrofusion Coko Festival alongside Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Fireboy.

Their trailblazing Fierce Piano World Tour has also garnered critical praise for outstanding club performances in the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal and Belgium.

TxC told The Star after their Fierce Piano EP release that discovering their sound was quite a journey.

“It was exciting and scary at the same time because it was our first time doing this; getting people in the studio and having to relate ideas,” they said.

Asked about the essence of the EP, the duo said: “We started our EP at the beginning of the year. It was quite a journey discovering what our sound will be and which sound we are going to identify with. And we have been in the industry for a while, so people were expecting a certain sound. So the sound that we chose for our EP was more soulful.

“We have found a unique sound that works for us, and this EP is a reflection of that. We hope you love it as much as we do,” shared the music stars.
