French pressure over Iran

PARIS: France’s foreign minister says Europe must agree on stricter sanctions against Iran by the end of the month because of its controversial nuclear programme. Alain Juppe, speaking on TV yesterday, said there was “no doubt” Iran was continuing with its plans to build a nuclear weapon. He wanted Europe to agree on sanctions similar to those already imposed by the US.
