Graft exposé backfires

HANOI: A journalist has been arrested on charges of giving bribes after he exposed police corruption. Hoang Khuong, 39, published articles in the Tuoi Tre newspaper last year that condemned traffic police for taking bribes to ignore violations. He posed as a man whose motorbike had been seized, and gave $715 (R5 775) through a broker to a former police official to get the vehicle returned.
