First shark hybrids spotted

-

SYDNEY: Australian scientists have hailed what they described as a world-first discovery of two shark species interbreeding, which could help sharks cope with warmer oceans. Researcher Jess Morgan said the mating of the Australian black-tip shark with its global counterpart, the black-tip, was unprecedented. “No one has ever seen shark hybrids before. This is evolution in action.”
